Science

Program Overview

WeDo’s Science Program is designed to develop scientific thinking, curiosity, and real-world understanding through structured, inquiry-based learning for K–12 students.

Rather than focusing on rote memorisation, the program emphasises conceptual understanding, investigation, and application, helping students connect scientific knowledge to everyday life and global challenges.

Through live online instruction and guided exploration, students learn to observe, question, test ideas, and explain phenomena using evidence and reasoning.

What Students Learn

Students develop core scientific capabilities through:

  • Understanding key concepts across biology, chemistry, physics, and earth sciences

  • Asking meaningful questions and forming testable hypotheses

  • Observing patterns, analysing data, and drawing conclusions

  • Applying scientific vocabulary and models to explain real-world phenomena

  • Developing curiosity, critical thinking, and logical reasoning

The program builds both scientific literacy and transferable thinking skills that support learning across all subjects.

Program Structure

The Science Program follows a progressive and age-appropriate pathway, aligned with school science curricula.

Foundations (Primary Years)

Students explore science through observation, discussion, and guided inquiry, focusing on:

  • Living and non-living systems

  • Basic physical and chemical changes

  • Earth, space, and environmental awareness

  • Simple experiments and scientific communication

Development (Middle Years)

Students deepen understanding through structured investigations, including:

  • Forces, energy, and matter

  • Biological systems and ecosystems

  • Data collection, comparison, and explanation

  • Scientific reasoning and cause–effect relationships

Application (Upper Years)

Students apply scientific concepts to complex contexts, preparing for senior secondary science:

  • Analytical thinking and scientific models

  • Interpreting data, graphs, and experiments

  • Connecting science to technology, society, and global issues

How Learning Happens

  • Live online science classes led by experienced educators

  • Inquiry-based lessons combining explanation, questioning, and discussion

  • Guided experiments, simulations, and real-world case studies

  • Small-group interaction to encourage participation and reasoning

  • Curriculum-aligned materials adapted for different year levels

Learning is designed to be interactive and thinking-focused, rather than content-heavy or exam-driven.
